Football Manager 2010 PC :: Error "football manager 2010 10.1.0f84847 has stopped working"

If after launching Football Manager 2010 via Steam you recieve an Error message ""football manager 2010 10.1.0f84847 has stopped working'" follow the steps below to verify the games skin cache.
- Right click on the FM icon
- Select Properties
- Select Local files
- Select Verify integrity of game cache.
Next, update your version of DirectX. The update is available to download and install from the following link:
