History:
China 2009-2019 China was my first stop and the nation steadily improved under my guidance. We reached the World Cup in 2018 but failed to make it out of the group stages.Also reached the final of the Asian Nations in 2015 and the Quarter FInals in 2019.
USA 2019 - 2022Gold Cup finalists 2021 - lostWorld Cup hosts but didn't get out of the group stages, i resigned shortly after.

Tactics:

I have set out my team in a fairly simple 4-4-2 Diamond. I have a few specific instructions for a few positions which aid my team. These include.

DC: Both are set to limited defender, meaning they have one job, to defend our goal. That's about it.

DMC: Set to "Deep lying Playmaker" and set to "defend". His job is to sit quite deep and distribute the ball towards the more attacking assets of my squad.
FC: (Han Peng)Set to "target man" with eyes to holding the ball up when he doesn't have many options on the ball.
FC: (Gao Lin) Set to "Poacher" he sits on the last man and looks to push the defence backwards towards their own goal.

So my first game went off without any major problems. A good win and we managed to dominate possession too, a very good start for my liking and i hope to build on this early win.

I have looked at the fixtures and we are qualifying for the Asian Cup \o/ In my qualifying group i have Syria, Vietnam & Lebanon. Should be quite easy to qualify in all honesty, although the previous manager has drawn 1-1 with Syria, he did beat Vietnam 1-0 though.

My first competitive win as China boss and a pleasing one too. I think that the Asian Cup should be easy to qualify for, it's what i do when I'm there that counts.

Haha, previous experience managing Australia tells me that, has an incredible goalscoring record I believe at International Level?

Asian Cup qualification should be a piece of piss. WCQs you should qualify from as well I reckon, but that is only in 2011 or 2012 it starts.

Asia Cup I think Quarter Finals should be your aim, a lot of teams that are stronger then China out there at the moment.

Well atm i see Japan, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, North Korea, Australia to name just a few teams that will beat me. I am sure i will qualify for the Asian Cup, with Lebanon, Syria & Vietnam to cope with. The draw will be made next year 2011 for the Asian Cup so unless World Cup qualifying starts ridiculously early i can see a fairly dull year for China.

Watch out for Iran as well as they often have quality players in their ranks. Not so sure about North Korea.

Don't know how good the researching is for FM but IRL Uzbekistan are emerging as a force and Qatar and Bahrain are now always dangerous.

You say i should qualify with ease but i think China have only been at one World Cup, 2002? So they obviously struggle to get there. I am not expecting them to qualify with ease, it all depends on my group.



This win puts us into the Asian Cup, with ease really. Vietnam have been the toughest of the teams i have faced so far. They played quite well in fairness although we still dominated the possession and therefore never really gave them a chance.

I have just noticed i have a friendly with South Korea coming up, that should be my first test as China boss.

China pump out really quality regen's and newgen's, you'd only expect that to be fair.

But it'll be difficult to start off with, consistent qualification is the key. China's ambition shouldn't be to win thing immediately at least not straight away.

Ali, the way it works is, the first stage is much like AFC qualifying, while the second stange is 2 groups of 6 with the top 2 in each group going through, the two 3rd placed teams play each other over 2 legs and the winner play New Zealand

No he isn't atm, i haven't even thought about him tbh. THrough the searches i have done he hasn't been there so i guess either i have missed him or he's not that great. He was probably only bought for marketing purposes tbh.

lol, i love the fact the OFC part of WC qualifying is so predictable, even more so now the Aussies have moved to Asia.

Quite a good result in all fairness, i thought they were going to have enough in the tank to beat me before the game but we turned up and gave them a good run for their money. An encouraging performance if nothing else.

My final game in the Asian Cup qualifiers and i did put out a weakened side to see who else was in my squad. Including a promising 17 DM who didn't play that well. All of these previous results mean the group ends as such...



So with that out of the way i have a bit of in-game free time to kill as i can't arrange any friendlies due to the World Cup. Therefore i have the next few months off. I think a nice holiday is in order!

I have holidayed a bit of time and my beloved team are rising in the World rankings, i think due to my unbeaten start as manager.

I have had the Egypt job come up on my news but no-ones approached me. My previous rep was set to Professional Footballer so i won't get offered any jobs really. In my profile it says my rep is "Regional" oh dear! Looks like i'll have to get China quite far or else i am stuck to Asia /o\
