A couple of friendlies to update at the moment...

Oh dear, the first game i can relate with in a way because Angola are higher in the rankings and do actually have a better squad than i do, but Yemen!!! Fucking Yemen!!!
I had 17 shots and only fucking one on target...1!!! It went in so you can see what might have happened if i had have taken a few more chances.
Still the Asian cup has been named and i have:
South Korea
Oman
India
If we play like we have i don't think i'll get out of the group stages.

Basically, You are out. Australia will be tough. You will need to pull-off a mastermind to win that.

But seriously, our strikers suck, just our midfield is dominant

Melmmer was correct their strikers are shit, so they played TIm Cahill upfront and played an attacking three around him. They trounced me in all honesty but i am not to be disheartened, it was just an unlucky draw because the Aussies sucked in their group.
Overall the board are pleased with my Asian Nations performance and i am too. We are a small footballing nation still and the fact that i can't get higher than 60th in the World Rankngs shows this. I have high hopes in the future but as i can't buy anyone it's all down to the newgens.
Next up i thought i would test myself against two of Asia's giants, Japan & Australia again...

Thanks man, unfortunately i played them in a friendly (that i arranged) about 6 days after they won the Asian Nations Final 3-0 against South Korea. They were obviously in high spirits as this happened...

Not too bad for a country that shouldn't even be in Asia lol. Still they convincingly beat me so i still need to improve allot.
I rejigged the squad a little bit to face Japan in a friendly and this was the outcome...

Very pleased with this game. We not only got the better of them in goals but possession too which i am very happy about in all truth. Bring on the World Cup qualifiers...how ever they work

So to the World Cup qualifying round 1: Knock Out!

Well bullet has been firmly dodged to be honest! At east we are through to round two, or i thought we were. As for some reason only a proportion of the teams go through to round 2, all of the rest that won (including me) go straight to round 3, the group.
My Group!

On another note i have obviously been doing something rite...unless they class me as one of those Football Manager CV's

Couldn't agree with you more there!

So i have the results of the World Cup qualifying group stage, stag 3. And to say i am happy would be wrong, we conceded way too many goals and didn't put teams to bed.

As you can see i was unbeaten in that group although i did draw every game bar one. An unbelievable result to go through seeing as we couldn't beat anyone. As i played these games i thought i was 2nd favourites for the group, it turns out i was 3rd favourites with Oman heavily ahead in the odds when we met. Because of this my news at the end of the campaign was...

I shall post up who i have in the final group later on.

World Cup Final Group Draw:

Balls!!! Well the Aussies will get the top spot then i reckon Iran leaving the rest of us to scrap for the final spaces, so hopefully i can get into that playoff third spot and beat the Zealanders

UAE are balls but in terms of quality, both Saudi Arabia and Iran are well ahead of your chinks.
Ridiculous group.
