Okay, here's the story. I want to create a database which includes the real life club that I currently play for. The thing is, I have no idea about any of the technicalities of the FM editor and although I have ventured into it a couple of times, I have never really grasped how to do access the FM editor with ease. I'm also really lazy and rather than creating a whole league system with the league I play for in real life, I'd rather just replaced a current League 2 side in Engalnd and adopt this approach.

Which is where one of you readers come in.

I am seeking some help/advice/guidance on creating a database this why. Things include:
  • Player Creation (stats,information,etc)
  • Club Creation (information, background, finances, etc)
  • Staff Creation (stats,information, etc)
Just wondering if members could post some tips and advice on making said database, and if possible, create this database for download. Not epexcting that, but it would be amazing. Willing to devote some time do this.

Thanks in advance

Ok well the first thing I would do is to replace a club in League 2. Take Darlington for example. Change all their details and what not to match up your club side.

Then I would go through all the players in the club, rename them and change their technical abilities to match your team. Give them good loyalty so they stay at your club

Then go through all the staff that Darlington have, change them to match your team and from there you should be right

I wouldn't do replacing, I'd do it from scratch.

It's simple as - it's nothing hard to do.

- First, open the editor and load the database.

- To create a club, on the sidebar select "Club" option and then, in the bottom right corner click the "Add" button. Then, give the name to your club, set its finances etc. - basically just fill out the fields. Not necessarily all of them, but some of them you should.

- To create a player, on the sidebar click "Person" option, go to the bottom right corner and click Add; a drop down menu will appear and from it select "Player". Once again fill out the fields.

- To create staff, on the sidebar click "Person" option, go to the bottom right corner and click Add; a drop down menu will appear and from it select "Non Player". Fill out the fields, giving attention to his role at the club ("Contract" tab)

- Attributes are out of 20, position suitability is out of 20, club reputation is out of 10000, transfer budget can be max. 1.000.000.000 pounds.

- You will need to add a stadium, if it exists already just search for it, in other case you'll have to create it by clicking on the "Stadium" option and clicking "Add" in the bottom left.

- In the end, click the "Competition" option in the sidebar, and in the search box enter "League 2". When the name of the league will show up below, double click it. Go to the "Teams" option in the side bar, remove one of the teams by selecting it and clicking "Delete" then add your team by clicking "Add", typing the club's name, selecting it and clicking OK.

- If you feel that's too complicated for you, feel free to give me the details or (preferably) contact me on MSN.

So your saying rather than creating players and staff, just edit existing players and staff?

And also, is there any coding that needs to be done and how do i include pictures if possible?

No, there's no XMLs to be done, unless you want to do facepacks; then if you replace any of the teams already existing they will have wrong faces.

That's why I would do it from scratch, later fire up the game, see what IDs are assigned to every player and do a facepack.
