Currently in season 2012, on a 46 game unbeaten run.
Using Joga Bonito tactics (set of 3, tweaked differently for Overload, Counter and Attack).
Basic strategy is start on Overload, grab a quick goal, switch to Counter and hopefully get another goal, then finally switch to Attack to kill game off.
Working a charm, and even though it is generally a very attacking strategy, Adler is currently over 1000 minutes without conceding.
Attached screen shows formation for Overload (all 3 tactics use same formation, but different settings, defensive lines, passing styles etc).
Players with roles and duties on Attack setting...
Adler - Sweeper Keeper / Defend
Jorgenson - Ball Playing Defender / Cover
Otamendi - Ball Playing Defender / Cover
Renan - Wing Back / Attack
Evans - Wing Back / Attack
Veloso - Anchor Man / Defend
Sissoko - Anchor Man / Defend
Kroos - Inside Forward / Attack
Hamsik - Inside Forward / Attack
Rooney - Trequartista / Attack
Pato - Complete Forward / Attack
Primary Playmaker is Hamsik, Target Man is Pato set as Run onto Ball.
For Counter variation of strategy the team defends deeper, the Wing Backs both change to a Support duty, and Hamsik changes to Advanced Playmaker / Attack.
The game is fluid and attractive, and the results speak for themselves - I've reached FM Nirvana.
Currently now scouting for young players with the perfect attributes to take the fullest possible advantage of these tactics in future seasons.
Hope someone might find this useful
