This will be my third save of my FM10 career. Much different to my Cardiff and Bolton careers, I will be starting unemployed with the aim of, as realistically as possible, becoming the best manager in the world. Using the Original 10.0 Database :gluk:. Leagues Loaded:

Posted Image

Notice no England. I've decided to be fucking individual and not load England. Leagues from every continent have been loaded, I wanted to broaden my horizons, so to speak.

The man who will tackle this challenge:

Posted Image

Sunday Rep of course. Starting from the ground up. Brazilian was picked at random, Aussie becasue I'm Aussie.

And let the games begin

Started off with a few clubs manager-less.

Posted Image

Tempted by Tai Po and Winners Park. Nobody else would accept me, that is for sure.

I'll update when I get a job.

Wish me fuckloads of luck.

---------------------------------------------

After I holidayed for almost 6 months, finally someone responded to my abomination of a CV.

Posted Image

The team is Free State Stars, who currently play in the South African Premier Soccer League.

The team plays at Goble Park in Bloemfontein.

I am particularly pleased with the job, got a very good transfer budget and wage budget, on top of a very nice 525 pounds a week.

The sad thing is this team is garbage. We have a couple of good players, but this team shouldn't be in the league. Fucking Shochs.

Posted Image

Best player is probably Carelse or Ngcobo. Still pretty average.

The Team is all but doomed to relegation. My aim is not to come bottom:

Posted Image

Hopefully we can keep fluking our way to some form of glory. My first match in charge; Orlando Pirates at home in 12 days.

I have 12 days therfore to sort out this catastrophe known as my ass man, tactics, formations and staff changes.

The near future looks dull...

Fucking Christ!

I joined the team with 8 games to go, and 4 have already been played. Big dissapointment; 0 wins. 0 draws. 4 fucking losses.

Posted Image

They haven't played bad. We just can't seem to scrape results. We were defensively strong against Orlando and AmaZulu to only limit them to one goal, whilst we were 1-0 up in both the Cosmos and Chiefs games.

The other team in the relegation fight, Maritzburg Utd, drew two games whilst we lost 4, meaning they go ahead to 15th virtue of goal difference

We also had the chance to sign some players in the transfer market. Both were centre midfielders who weren't good enough to start, so arn't even worth a screenshot.

We have a month gap until our next match. We are currently on a 9 game losing streak :ninja:

Hopefully we scure some points. I don't want to get relegated in my first job.

Down She Goes!

To be fair, I had the quality to at least avoid automatic relegation. So in fairness, it was my fault. I could easily take the cowards way out, my reputation is now National and there are some offers overseas that look tempting. But that's not my management style, I want to turn this club around, at least put it in the right direction before abandoning ship.

The players lacked motivation in the season and a complete squad overhaul is on the cards. Lots of players will come and go. I will see out my contract at the club and decide my future in that time.

Thanks Guys, appreciate the support.

Just a quick update before the new Season Starts. We are now in the Coastal Division.

Pre Season was pretty good. I nailed some tactics and beat Santos F.C 4-2, Drew with Supersport 2-2 and narrowly lost to Ajax CT 1-0. All these teams were Premier League Teams. I earned a total of 50k from the revenue from Pre Season, a good return for a club of our stature

In other news, despite relegation, the club continues to churn up money.

Posted Image

I like the board so far. The Wage Bill is much shorter due to the transfer market. Although a lot of players left, a few quality players came into the Club.

Particularly a guy called Jonathan Armogram:

Posted Image

His 15's for speed + 13 and 12 for technique and dribbling make him a dynamite left midfielder. He will be key to our success this season.

The season starts again against Maritzburg United, fellow relegation buddies.

Let the anal infestation begin...

The season so far is going okay - at best. We should be winning this league, but we seem to be conceding late goals. Which is a really kick in the testicles.

Its been an up and down ride so far. We smashed Carara Kicks and Maritzburg at home, but also cheaply lost to Nathi Lions away. We also conceded late goals against Bay Utd and FC Cape Town to draw.

Our attack is really poor at the moment. Our top scorer is a centre midfielder, Kleinbooi Taaibos. He is 5"3 but is really dominant in midfield. Pocket Rocket.

So far, it seams like we are trailing behind in the race for promotion. But We face Ikapa Sporting next game and home, and with me public slating the opposing manager as a child abductor, it has all the makings for an epic clash.

We have pushed to the top. Thanks to 4 wins in our past six victories, includeing a classic 3-2 away comeback win over Maritzburg. The team is gelling at the moment and I have tied down key players to contracts previously unwanted.

Ngcobo is particularly in a rich vein of form, leading the scoring charts with 7 goals. Mokofeng closely behind with 6 goals.

Our Zimbabwean CB Matola is leading the team with a string of top performances. The free kick against Maritzburg in particular, a highlight for him.

So half the season gone, we look good for promotion although Bay and Ikapa are right on our heels. We can't become complacent now that we are in this position

In terms of my future, I am undecided. I have until the rest of the season in terms of my current contract. But there are other jobs available elsewhere that could tempt me in the near future. Places like Argentina and Ukraine for example. It all depends how this season goes.

Keep plugging away

We remain firmly in the drivers seat after a string of 3 successive wins. It has been an up and down ride in the league. We beat W.P United and Nathi Lions 3-1 and 4-1 respectively, however we also lost 5-0 to FC Cape Town at home, which is unacceptable. We also beat Maritzburg at home 2-0, which was a huge game at the time.

With 5 games to go, it seems to look like a 2 horse race at present, with us and Ikapa competing for the automatic promotion place and the play off position. Bay Utd however could be the dark horses whilst I think it would take a miracle for Maritzburg.

We have had relative success in the SAFA cup however;

Posted Image

We dispatched of fellow coastal rivals W.P United before we easily trounced non-league side Maritzburg City. We face another non-league side, Classic, in the 3rd round.

Much of our success has to be credited to our star striker, Sthembiso Ngcobo. He is banging in the goals for us with 16 goals in 26 matches. He is the league's top scorer and is averaging 7.26 a match:

Posted Image

The bad thing is, he is moving at the end of the year. After we were relegated, at least 12 key players requested transfers, Sthembiso being one of them. He also refused to sign any form of a new contract, so Bush Bucks swooped in an picked him up on a bosman.

In terms of my future, the board still haven't offered me a new contract. Having said all of which, I haven't been bothered to ask for one. Media is speculating I will go at the end of the season, but the players are insisting I get rewarded with a new contract. 5 games to go in the league, then we will see. If the board don't want me, then they can go fuck right off. They smell of the apartheid anyway.

The League is ours! A grudge match with Bay Utd saw us come from behind secure my first piece of silverware. Promotion is on the cards now, although I am not sure I will be with FS Stars next season.

The board have offered me a slight improvement on my contract, which I turned down. I'm not sure how long I will stay in South Africa, as I want to go abroad and increase my reputation.

We have also produced good displays in the SAFA cup. we beat classic 2-0 and Premier League side Bloem Celtic 1-0 to advance to the Semi Finals. We meet a giant killing, non league side African Warriors. In other semi-final is Jomos Cosmos vs Supersport United.

The SAFA cup would be the icing on the cake, although in reality, it doesn't seem likely that we will win with key players such as Armogram and Mofokeng injured for the remainder of the season.

Onwards and Upwards!

Brilliant. Fucking Brilliant. Not only were we the best Coastal team, but we beat the Black Leopards who were the Inland champions. They trounced their league, amassing 25 wins and 2 draws in the season whilst only losing once all season. We absolutely raped them, home and away, to secure our promotion back to the top flight of South African Football.

We also advanced in the SAFA cup, beating African Warriors 1-0 in the semi Final. This meant we meat a strong SuperSport Utd team in the final

Ngcobo was out injured whilst Matola was suspended, meaning that we were without some key players.

Posted Image

As indicated by the picture above, I resigned. Secretly I said to myself that a win in the SAFA cup final would convince me that there was a future at this club. We were, however, outclassed by SuperSport.

It convinced me that South African Football is dominated by 3-4 teams, with everybody else far, far behind in terms of quality. If I was stubborn and had tunnel-vision, I would have stayed with FS Stars to build a dynasty. But staying in South Africa for 5-6 years wouldn't be ideal in terms of my reputation and success. Still, I walk away from FS stars with them in good shape, promotion in hand with a couple of nifty youngsters coming through the ranks, I leave them with a heavy heart.

I'll be looking for a job outside South Africa, but it will be interesting to see the types of jobs I could potentially get. Managing in China or Hong Kong could match my reputation at the moment, but it will interesting to see if other countries have available jobs that would accept me.

A bit of a punt on Peirre Maze's part, but hey, I'm not complaining. Earning more than triple my previous wage + I'm managing in one of the toughest leagues in South America.

It is currently the end of season break for the team, so I'm excited that I get to start off fresh. Estudiantes finished 14th overall, below their expectation of 5th.

Let the relentless attacking football begin.

The season is 11 games old and it has been a rollercoaster ride so far in the Argentinian Opening Stage. We are behind our media prediction of 8th, but a string of good results could so us potentially into the top 4, we are only 6 points behind 2nd. Boca are already winning be a mile, they completely dominated us at their home ground. We had a massive win against cross town rivals Gimnasia (LP) which pleased the board.

The Lanus game was huge as well. Come from 2 goals down to sneak a 3-2 win away from home is always going to be a huge result, but especially against a side like Lanus. Our defence is pretty poor, but our attack is on fire. 8 games left of the Apertura.

As an aside, here are the transfers and player stats:

Posted Image

Mauro Boselli is by far the star performer. He has player every game so far and contributed 9 goals and 7 assists with an average rating of 7.35. Overall I'm happy with the team so far, there is no real indication that we can't improve on our present position on the table

In terms of transfers, I'm very happy with the way the market panned out. We received 4M from loan fees and fringe player sales which I decided not to use. Fernando De Los Santos looks like a very promising DL/ML and has been linked with some European sides. Potential to be a very very good player. Diego, who I signed on loan from Vasco De Gama, is a fantastic brazilian player who I have captured on loan with the option of 2.8M bid to make the deal permanent. He has the potential to be one of the best players in the league, and at just 17 he is already proving to be an intergral part of my starting 11. Take a look:

The Opening Stage has finished.

We rallied late on, smashing the likes of Central and Newell's on our way to a 3 game winning streak. We scored the most amount of goals in the Opening Stage, a credit to the free flowing football I have moulded my Estudiantes team to play.

Credit to our attacking prowess has to got to Mauro Boselli. He is the top scorer in the league, amassing 21 goals in 19 league games. A truly remarkable record, something I wasn't expecting when I first arrived at the club.

The Transfer Market is now open for four weeks, allowing a maximum of four players to be signed.

Looking forward to the rest of the season.
