So the difference between notch 14 and notch 20 is that 20 will develp quicker then 14 but they effectively do the same thing?

And what happens if you have it at a 12 so to speak, do the stats still grow?

When Fantastic says there shouldnt be anything away from 8, 14 and 20 unless its preseason then you listen. And you listen good.

Ok so that would mean that most training schedules would be the same if you designed them like Fantastic says??

No. Different players, or groups of players need different training. Ill give you a brief example, at Ajax I have wingers who dont cross much, so I do no set piece training, its a risk but it means I can focus more on other parts of their games.

Do you do no set piece training or do you have them at 8 so their stats are maintained?

Often I do no set piece training for central midfielders, to free up valuable attribute points for areas I choose to focus on.

I dont have it on anybody, Ive had players from the word go not on any and their set pieces havent even fallen too bad. Crossing has on a few players but Im not overly bothered about that.

Ok but if you have a winger, wouldnt that standard set up be as such?
Strength 9
Aerobic 9
Ball Control 14
Tactics 14
Defending 8
Attacking 14
Shooting 14
Set Pieces 14
Also what is this thing about attribute points??

Attribute points are just a players attributes. I think you'd be wasting a wingers time doing defending as it wouldnt really help his game and it would be eating away at the training workload, you dont want it over Medium imo As for that schedule it would totally depend on your wingers and tactics, Ill screeny my winger schedule when I switch PCs and allow you to show me up \o/

So then it would make sense for me to put Defending down to the lowest notch and Set Pieces up to a 20 or something if I want wingers who can cross the ball well?
Thinking of making a training schedule available for download soon, see how other people find it and what not

The idea behind it is to take what you want to happen, apply 8, 14, 20, then if you have spare workload, just add it to the important areas. Often I train a player to reduce his abilities in one area, whilst sliding the area I want to improve to the maximum, ensuring his replaced abilities are the ones I want.

Defending on 0 and Set Pieces to 20 could be done, but then there would be a really heavy emphasis on Free Kicks, Throws, Corners aswell as Crossing so that might not be worth having at 20 due to the fact only Crossing is of real use.

But if I get this guy to have really good Free Kicks that could be a valuabe asset in years to come as he will get 10 goals a season

He might never get to 20 Free Kicks though due to the face his CA will be getting eaten by other attributes. You'll already have good set pieces takers so I wouldnt really bother trying to make a load of players set piece specialists.
