I believe that a true football club is a club that listens to and attempts to represent it's supporters.

They're playing philosophy shouldn't matter to be honest, you play to your strengths and if those strengths are to hoof the ball, then hoof the ball if it wins you games and keeps your fans happy or keeps the atmosphere alive then so be it.

I think a club should believe that football should be as much about having fun as about trying to achieve success, I think supporting a club like AFC Wimbledon must be very rewarding.

You have really just got to look at non leagues for a true football club like mentioned AFC Wimbledon, people holding real jobs and real families and real incomes, Still committed to playing on their free time, that's true.

Bilbao is the closet thing I've ever seen to a proper club, Barcelona has the other ingredients too, but it's a global phenominum these days, globalization and mass media has made it mega huge.

I love the fact that Bilbao is so principled and sticks 2 fingers up to the notion that the club needs to be successful and silver lustful.

Bilbao is rightfully distinguished and proud, and so it should be for not deserting their primary ethos, this makes them unique and this identifies them with the players on the pitch to the fans in the stand.

That is why we all crave to see one of our own on the pitch, because wearing our shirt is what we wanted to do as a kid. I love seeing successful youth players coming through and thriving in the club, especially if they are local.

The clubs have a responsibility on and off the pitch and a great number of them just dont make the grade in my estimation.

Agree with Athletic Bilbao, also heard good things about St. Pauli in Germany too.

To be fair though, its difficult because any big club in the modern game has sold out somewhere, they have too. Can a 'true club' have a sponser put across its shirt? Should it agree to play games at stupid times to the detriment of the fans? Should its players be taking 50,60,70,100 thousand pound a week wages, so the fans cant afford to go?

I was going to write about Barca as well, they've paid UNICEF seven figure per year sums for their shirt sponsorship. I mean, it's one thing to have a charity replacing your sponsor, but to pay them as well? Fantastic.

When I went to Barcelona, despite it only being for about 2 hours, I could very, very literally smell football in the air.

I respect them alot, but I couldn't really give two fucks about them In terms of support. Alot of lads I know are fanatical about them, and It's vice versa with those Jerries too. Theres been a friendly arranged this May between the two clubs due to Sankt Paulis centenary year. It's gonna be a huge party between the two fans.

Both Sankt Pauli and Hamburg are huge fucking rivals aswell. I have no Idea how Rangers formed their allegiance with them though.
